Reusable Shopping Bag Drive

Help the Hyde Park Street Fair “Keep it Green in 2019” by passing along your unneeded reusable bags. Gently used bags will be offered to fairgoers to reduce the use of disposable plastic bags at the event.

It’s 4-Step Easy:

1: Collect surplus reusable bags (i.e. fabric, nylon, durable plastic weave, heavy-duty “boutique” paper bags) that you no longer need or use. Bags should be clean and in good condition. Please, no single-use plastic bags, heavily soiled or contaminated bags, torn bags or bags missing their handles. 2: Drop your unneeded bags at one of the sites noted below. 3: Receive a boost of good karma – guaranteed. 4: Visit the Hyde Park Street Fair this September, and let the vendors know how much a green event means to you!

Drop-Off Option 1:

Eyes of the World Imports | 1576 West Grove Street | Downtown Boise

Details: From August 29 through September 14, drop off your reusable bags in the collection barrel located outside the front entrance. (Barrel donated courtesy of Levco Builders/Deconstruction Boise.)

Drop-Off Option 2:

Boise Co-Op | 888 West Fort Street | North End Boise

Details: On Friday, September 6, drop off your reusable bags from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Zero Waste Boise Institute table at the Co-Op’s First Friday gathering.
